" ‘Love Flows’ is a mixture of play on words, images and ideas. Water I felt was the main natural source which connects everyone in the world: babies in the womb, children, adults, and older generations. We all need it in some form to survive. Then I began exploring more about me as an adult and the many things that have strongly connected me to this symbolic element: the ocean, blood, tears, milk women produced for their growing babies, orgasims, liquids that are secreted from the body in general, though various emotional or biological triggers. All these I realised are important to love and appreciate about the human body and condition.
Looking further into my adult self, I am very comfortable with my body. I write notes on it, dress it up, dress it down, wash it, sometimes want to feel dirty, sometimes sexy, sometimes completely numb. My point is more I love the different connections and appreciations I have with my body and wanted to celebrate them all.
The title is a play on words. Like any image, the story is always in the eye of the beholder. Although the creative may have their root journey and concept, the viewer can always change the story. This is what I love about the imagination. This piece can be of an adult nature, or can also be of a more childish, playful one.
